Amon Amarth is a band of melodic death metal with Viking themes come from the town of Tumba, Sweden in formed in 1992 . Its name means "Mount Doom " in Sindarin (one of the languages \u200b\u200bof Middle-earth created by JRR Tolkien ). The band was originally known as Scum, and recorded a single demo under that name in 1988 before switching to Amon Amarth in 1992 .
